Shay cannot get over how much she has learned about Marcus since meeting Alex and plans staying with for a couple months. He died while climbing in Nepal against better judgment and left many unanswered questions not only for Shay but for Alex also. With some research they find out Marcus was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis and never told a soul, not his best friend or his girl. Now Shay and Alex realize that climb was going to be the last for Marcus, he planned to not come back after all.

Mountain climbing can have a high mortality rate but usually for only those in accidents of nature or those who are reckless or unprepared. We learn here that death can come as a way of personal choice or pure accident. The sport is safe enough but be cautious and be prepared. Life is worth living and to celebrate it is even more important. Sometimes with the right person you can celebrate life and love at the same time like Shay and Alex. This is a love story first but also one with a message in the climbing world, life is unpredictable so live for today and love for tomorrow also.
