Sayana Nakamura is desperate. After having being rejected by all of the houses of ill repute on the planet Kanasum because of the taint on the family name, her only options to feed her starving little sisters is to sell her virginity in an auction held on the gwylo spaceship. The floating gambling palace provides games of chance and women willing to slack the lusty thirst of any one prepared to pay the price.

Captain Caleb Joiner and his men are on the gambling spaceship after successfully completing a very lucrative smuggling operation. Caleb notices a tiny woman who reminds him of a china doll. As he observes her movements, he notes her inebriated companions, bent on accosting her where they stood. Of course, he should not get involved, but of course, he does any way.

After being saved by Caleb, Sayana asks him what he requires in repayment for saving her virginity. Sayana, in her Kanasum way, feels she owes him something for his chivalrous actions and tells her story to him. Caleb, noting her distress, offers her credits but she declines his offer. What happens between Sayana and Caleb will change her destiny.

Ms. Anderson tells a tale of a woman’s honor and disgrace in a male dominated world and the lengths she goes to save her family. Sayana is brave, self-sacrificing and noble in her pursuit of salvation for her little sister while Caleb is a thoughtful and generous gentleman who falls for the doll with the silver eyes. The deflowering of Sayana is touching and tender, making her first time extra special. I truly enjoyed the characters interactions with each other.
