Melonie Price is the games captain at the Carleigh Falls Golf and Country Club. She is the one in charge of all the golfers and keeping track of their scores. Melonie is also the one to contact Hunter to help solve a murder right before a big golf tournament.

Hunter Knox is an actor and amateur detective who somehow, seems to solve cases when the murderers tend to fall right into his lap. He was in a play with Melonie eight years prior and when she called him to come out and help her investigate a murder he was intrigued.

Oona Blackwell was murdered while retrieving one of her balls in the creek on the third tee. Found propped on a bench by her golf partners she was moved back to the creek so it looked like an accident. Melonie is the one notified and it was decided to not investigate or declare it a murder until after the golf tournament the following week. Bringing in Hunter was a stroke of genius and he has been recruited to help where necessary in the interim.

This is the first Alias Hunter Knox Mystery I have read. It is definitely a must read for all thespians and golfers alike. I loved the quips, quotes and lines from poems, plays and musicals. This sequel also was easy to follow and ties together the previous stories in the series. I am not a golfer but even I could follow along easily enough. Praise must go to T.K. Sheils who is not with us now but his work lives on as a tribute to his life and his love of writing. This makes me want to now go read all his books, it references many of his other works, they sound great.
