Elise Richards loves her studies and makes sure that is her focus. Friends help a lot, but she feels like something else is missing. Rafael Segura is tired of the stereotypical thoughts about him being a ladies’ man. He enjoys teaching what he loves, Spanish studies. He knows to be pleasant and keep things at a distance. He does not need more rumors going around campus. He has his fill of them. One student in his class shows more passion than the rest and he thinks of her often. Could there be something between them?

Being asked to see her professor scared Elise. She knew there was a reason, but standing so close to the man who attracts her may not be such a good idea. Working for him can only make things complicated when he offers her a job as one of his research assistants, but she cannot think of a reason for not accepting. Before she knows it, they are not only sharing their heart but a bed as well. Elise is afraid that she may have taken things too far this time. She does not want a modern day Don Juan. She just hopes she can find the man of dreams, but can she fight off the doubts in her head?

Stereotypical ideas are all out there. Elise will have to step up and ask questions to get the doubts out of her head. I wondered if she could do that at the beginning. Hearing rumors never helps your heart and makes you question things even more, especially when what you hear is not favorable. Ms. Rhodes shows a wonderful story full of passion. Teacher and student romances happen every day. I was happy to see one where there was some thought to what she was going to do. What a great romantic story!
