Magazine editor Kate Hayden couldn’t believe she had purchased her ex-fiancé, Tyler, at a charity action and then tried to get out of the deal. While she thinks she is over him Kate thinks about Tyler, a lot. The following week will be thrilling and may make her career if she doesn’t lose her heart to the one man who thrills her.

Tyler James is a gorgeous SEAL instructor gets to spend one week with the only woman he ever loved, but he also knows that his career may change forever at the end of the week. For now though he just wants to enjoy his time with Kate.

Two people who let their careers separate them now have a week to relive their passions. At the end of the week can they make the changes necessary to keep seeing each other, or is it better to enjoy the memories and move on.

One of the things I enjoy about Purchased for Pleasure is how both Kate and Tyler live full lives. I love reading about people who are already content. That being said, Tyler vacillates his decisions a bit, but his actions are well integrated into his story. Their desire to help the world makes me care for them greatly. The supporting characters are great and truly assist the plot. The dialogue is excellent and kept the story hopping. Kate and Tyler’s romantic history gives good depth and emotional ties to the plot. The sex is wonderful and I loved that this couples focuses on making the other happy while not expecting a long term commitment. Purchased for Pleasure is a charming book and is going to be reread as soon as I finish this review.
