Magni Taggert is responsible for engaging Dilana in the search for the Veils of the Burning Touch. It is his legacy to find that piece of jewelry lost to him by his aunt before she supposedly died.

Christmas is approaching and Dilana wishes she were anywhere but here with her partners and sister for the holiday. In comes a stranger, and with a touch she cannot only see but feel the mysterious jewelry Magni wants her to locate. Magni is descended from Sirens, by way of his mother and aunt who gave up their immortality to become human. To save the legacy of the family, his aunt scattered all the jewels for safekeeping.

This book was totally unexpected for me. I was not sure exactly what type of genre it was, but I loved it. It has a bit of fairy tale characters, timeless legends, and a modern feel. This is a very fast paced tale with lots of action and adventure, not to mention many intriguing secondary roles. I would love to see what happens with another of the Rarities Inc. partners or with the family of Magni, it is that fun and exciting. I must not forget that it also has enough sizzling romance in it to make anyone want to pick it up and literally swoon, considering Magni is a Siren offspring.
