A year ago Samara Lyons drank a little too much alcohol at her friend’s wedding. Watching her boyfriend walk down the aisle with another woman on his arm, who just happened to be her best friend was a little hard to handle.
Noah McCall is the owner of LCR, Last Chance Rescue and on the prowl for some predators. These men are posing as high school jocks that have recently been in the media and he needs Samara’s help. The problem is a year ago at his friend’s wedding, he got her all hot and bothered and then dropped her like a hot potato.
Samara knows from the start she will help Noah any way she can; these predators need to be caught. Posing as a teen herself is easy, the hard part is having Noah in the house during the day and at night having him a bedroom away. With a sordid past that sent him to prison for a crime he did not commit, Noah knows Samara would run screaming if she ever found out the truth. Now they must work together to catch a kidnapper of innocents who will stop at nothing to get the job done and who is so depraved, his idea of fun is rape, torture, and murder.
Return to Me is the type of book you will pick up and NEVER want to put down again. This is the second novel in this trilogy and Ms. Reece has written an amazing story of love, life, crime, and fighting for what is right. With a hero who is tormented by his past, we get to see how Noah is cold and calculating with the bad guys and soft and gentle with the victims. Samara is a tiny scrap of a girl who is mistaken for fourteen instead of the late twenties she is, and she goes about showing us exactly how tough she really is. Steamy sex scenes, intense fighting scenes, the sensation of struggling to survive, edge-of-your-seat feelings, and finding your true self make this mind-blowing book a must read story and made me a new fan of this remarkable author!
