| ROMEO GAIL FAULKNER ISBN: 1-4199-0186-9 July 2005 Ellora’s Cave www.ellorascave.com E-book $4.45 75 pages Erotic Contemporary Romance Rating: Laura wants a taste of freedom, to play and explore. When her friend, Carla, insists she spend the weekend at her family’s ranch, Laura agrees. It will be a great trip with only ‘the girls’, but when Carla tells her the real reason for the invite, Lauren is skeptical. Carla has a cousin by the name of Romeo and she hopes Lauren will be the first girl too finally resist his charms. She has always been cautious with any relationship but one glimpse of Romeo changes her mind. Romeo has a reputation to uphold. He loves women and is one smooth operator. When he meets Lauren, something comes over him and he finds himself being very protective of her. This is one challenge he will not give up. Can he convince Lauren that he wants to spend forever with her, despite the fact they only have one weekend together? Romeo is a story that stole my heart. When Carla was describing to Lauren how Romeo was arrogant and egotistical, I thought why is she putting her friend in this situation? But Ms. Faulkner created a different type of Romeo. This man is a gem, a gentleman in every sense of the word. Ms. Faulkner has taken a sweet story and made two likeable characters with a wide range of emotions. I hated to see it end. When Lauren said she would not undress and shower because of all she had gone through in the hospital unless he undressed as well, it brought on a smile. Ms. Faulkner created a story that hooked this reader from the start. She captured my interest and it was hard to put this book down. I wanted to see what happened between Lauren and Romeo. Elegant writing with a touch of sophistication ignites the pages in this great story. Cherokee Reviewer for Karen Find Out About New Books Reviewer for Coffee Time Romance |
