Jay Croft is forced to deal with his anger management issues by going to Sword River Retreat deep in the woods outside of L.A. After hitting an A-list star, his Hollywood studio job is in jeopardy if he does not take care of his problem. Jay also has let his work rule his love life, or lack of one. Yet that is about to change, too.

Noah Dalton is the grandson of Earl Dalton, the retreat owner. He works around the place to help his grandfather out. However, Noah finds he would prefer living at Sword River than anywhere else. He may be young, but he definitely understands life and all that it holds.

When Jay arrives at the retreat, all he wants to do is turn around and leave. However, to do so would cost him his job. At first he finds the place boring and too quiet, but then he meets Noah who helps Jay see the place in a different light. In addition, Jay begins to have feelings for Noah, but tries not to act upon them. Then, after many nights dreaming about being with Noah, he appears at Jay’s cabin and their affair takes off. With Noah’s help, Jay re-evaluates his life and discovers what, and who, is most important.

What a delicious story this was. It is a tale about slowing down and taking stock of one’s life. A story about discovering what our true priorities should be. The sex between Jay and Noah is not only hot, but full of tenderness too. This book will have you thinking about making changes in your own life.
