Erin Mulally is doing her best to cope with life since she was shot in the leg and, not wanting to sit behind a desk, she had to resign from the police force. She is stubborn but is doing her best to rebuild her life. Rebuilding relationships is not an easy task. She is unsure that anyone will love her because of her scar. She can only for hope the right man will come along.

Noah Hollis is a man on a mission since he saw his girlfriend get killed. He is passionate about one thing, getting revenge on those who killed his girlfriend, Katie. He can only see the goal ahead of him, until he meets Erin, and now he is not sure what to do.

Meeting Noah is one of the best things that ever happened to Erin. She does not want to jeopardize her relationship with her sister, Suzie, but all seems to fall apart around her when Suzie throws a fit. Erin is unsure what to do because she is strongly attracted to Noah. Can she work through things or will she be left out in the cold?

A heightened sense of passion connects Erin and Noah. Yet Noah puts more into his mission than his emotions. Ms. March keeps the reader completely involved in her story. The details between Erin and Noah are sizzling. I had to have a glass of water near me at all times. Thrilling and beautiful is how I would describe this story.
