Remington Morgan is ex-Special Forces. Always hard and severe, he likes his women
as brash and harsh as he is. Until he meets Kathryn Saunders. Then he finds himself
wanting to become a Boy Scout for his sister Tammy’s best friend and business
partner, a feeling he would readily give into if he thought he had a chance. Watching her
from afar, he fantasizes about becoming the kind of man she would want. Until he
overhears Kathryn talking to Tammy about the guy she loves, and Rem finds out that she
is just as dirty and nasty as he is.
Kathryn Saunders has been fantasizing about Rem since she first met him when he
saved her and his sister from a sticky situation in a bar. He is her Knight in Shining
Armor, and she has been pining for him. Her thoughts turning nasty and delicious
whenever he is in her mind, but he is so proper and distant she knows he could not
possibly be interested in her.
Rem and Kathryn are not the only ones watching from afar. A psychotic called The
Observer has his eyes trained on Tammy and Kathryn, blaming Kathryn for leading
Tammy down the wrong path. When The Observer decides to make Kathryn pay for
perceived transgressions, Rem finds himself moving from Boy Scout, to lover, to hero.
Ms. Faulkner does a great job immediately pulling you into the story, both with eroticism
and suspense. I was rapt while reading, and found myself reading faster, trying to find
out how the story ended. I suggest taking your time, because the encounters between
Rem and Kathryn should be savored.
