Raul Esteban has been called to England because of a tragedy. He did not expect to see Alannah in the same hospital. His hatred for her burns anew upon seeing her. But his body also demands he get closer to her. His hope was to never see her again after she turned down his marriage proposal and left him for another man. He does not know that Alannah has a secret that will only cause him more pain.

Alannah wants to run from him but she cannot. For two years she has tried to convince herself that she is over Raul, only to have those feelings return full force upon seeing him. She knows Raul will be angry about her brother and his sister but she has to tell him. He storms out of her apartment unknowingly leaving his cell phone behind. When she returns it to him, they both give in to their weakness and this time Raul will not let her go.

The tragedy of losing a loved one is prominent in this story. Ms. Walker relays the hopelessness one feels during a time like that very well. She also shows that no matter how angry you are at a person, if you love them, nothing will stop you from being with them. I enjoyed this book and finished it in a matter of hours it so kept me hooked. This is one author I will be reading more of and I hope you will as well.
