Stacy Evans dropped out of high school at the age of sixteen desperate to move on with his life. Living with his friend Lamar and working in a job that is going nowhere, Stacy makes the decision to get his GED. He meets Darian, a woodshop teacher who takes an interest in helping Stacy get his life on track. Soon the two develop a special relationship that could lead somewhere if only Stacy will take a risk.

Darian Drucker is in his late twenties. He is a woodshop teacher and owns Druck’s Contracting. Just like Stacy, high school was also a problem for Darian but luckily, he had an older brother to set him on the right path. Darian is a man who is smart and successful. He has a great interest in Stacy and from their first meeting a special bond develops between the two.

By the age of twenty, Stacy’s days consist of nothing more then screwing his three friends, drinking, drugs and a dead-end job. With his life in the toilet and his mother after him to make something of himself, Stacy goes back to school to earn his GED. There he meets Darian and Stacy begins a journey that has him coming to a crossroads in his life. If he chooses the right road, his life could be better than he ever dreamed possible.

This author has penned a rich contemporary story that had me completely enthralled. We are shown how certain people we meet can drastically change the course of our lives for the better if we dare to let them. Everyone should take the time to read this book; it is a beautiful love story.
