Storm O'Malley is a newly promoted detective in the homicide unit. Her first big case
happens to be a high profile murder with what seems to be ties to ancient artifacts. The
artifacts are wanted both in the mortal and the fey world. Hoping to find out more
information on the artifacts, she remembers a professor that she spoke with before. A
sexy one that is hard to get out of her mind. Little does she know what is in store for her.
Professor Tristan Lisalli has been entranced by Storm since their first meeting.
However, she was off limits then. But now he, along with his cousin Pierce, wants her as
his forever wife.
When Storm and Tristan meet up again, the sexual tension flies. They feel connected to
each other. Add cousin Pierce to the mix and sparks appear. This trio is completely
combustible. To think that more than one murder investigation is going on in between
the sexual trysts is amazing.
This is nothing short of a masterpiece. I thought this was CSI, NYPD Blue, The X-Files,
and Buffy the Vampire Slayer rolled in one. Awesome writing. The sideline characters
made just as much impact on the story as the main ones. Stories within stories. I cannot
say enough praise for this book. I would love to see this as a series or movie. That was
how it played out in my head as I read this. Ms. Strong is a very talented writer.
