Amanda Thomson is a web designer and is hoping for a promotion. But when her boss passes her over for the management position, Amanda drowns her sorrows with several drinks and some naughty fun with her girl friends. The entertainment for the evening turns out to be just what she needs, whether she knows it or not.

Jake Waters has decided to take the position with the web design company in Cleveland. Before he starts his job, however, he is asked to do a favor for a friend. Performing for a few ladies should be a piece of cake and some easy money, right?

Amanda could not believe her eyes. The new manager standing next to her boss was none other than the stripper from her party. She could not have been more angry or mortified. Was this some kind of joke that a stripper got her job? Now her boss wants her to work with the man on a new project. She soon realizes that her heart is falling for a guy who may be more of a workaholic than she is. Jake is stunned when he sees Amanda. He thought for sure he would never see any of the women from the party, but there she is. When they get thrown together on a job, Jake takes out his frustrations and insecurities on Amanda. He needs to prove himself, but seems to be pushing her away in the process. Balancing work and his personal life has never been easy, but if he does not try he could lose the best thing that has happened to him since his daughter Jessica was born.

This story is sincerely sweet and funny. Amanda tries so hard to be the tough professional, but she has real heart. She is up against a very real problem that women face everyday and is still determined to do the best job she can. Jake is forced to see how his work ethic is jeopardizing his family. Thanks to his daughter, Jake becomes a better man and father. Together they feel like a real couple that laugh and fight just like the rest of us. The truth and honesty in this story is refreshing, and a lot of fun to read.
