Georgina Kincaid is a shape-shifting succubus who works at Emerald City Books & Café. She owes her job to Seth, a man she madly aches for, but being a succubus, it is not easy falling in love, especially when she can involuntarily kill. No matter how strong her desire is for Seth, she does not wish for any harm to come his way, so keeps her distance.

Seth Mortensen makes his writing headquarters at the book store. He enjoys being at the café where he can spend time with Georgina while he tries to finish the great novel. When she approaches him about a disturbing dream, he recommends she visit Dante, who reads dreams.

Georgina fears three people enormously: Lilith the Succubus Queen, who has tremendous power and beauty; Roman the nephilim; and Niphon, an imp, who bought her. Someone she fears is out to get her. At least she can talk to good friend, Hugh, another imp. Meanwhile, she continues to have a vision about a little girl. After confiding to Seth, he suggests she go and see a man who interprets dreams. Dante not only offers help in reading the dream, but wants to get cozy with Georgina. The more time they spend trying to decipher her dream, the more Georgiana wonders whether can she take a tumble with this interpreter when Seth is a huge part of her heart.

I found Succubus Dreams filled with interesting characters and turns of events that kept me fastened to my seat. The myriad of diverse players blend together to bring another installment in the life of Georgina Kincaid. There is mystery, passion and anticipation in this extraordinary read, where I was not only touched by some of the characters but held deep compassion for some. Richelle Mead has a distinctive voice that grabs hold of the audience and hooks them automatically. I absolutely adore her work. She is talented and it shows in her stories. Ms. Mead designs characters that become a part of the reader’s life and always leave me with a huge feeling of awe at the end.
