Veronica Duff hates vampires ever since one killed her mother. She works with the Army as a vampire hunter, but one vampire she wishes to find is Joaquin so she can avenge her mother’s death. Of late, one sexy vampire loves to invade her dreams.
Diego Van Sant was created to love Veronica. He does not see her as a vampire hunter, but rather a woman of perfection. One that is beautiful and intelligent yet carries a silent strength.
Veronica will not feel compensated until she destroys the vampire who killed her mother. Joaquin warned her to stop coming after him, just as he had warned her mother, but Veronica stubbornly refuses to listen. As a vampire hunter, she must remain focused or end up like her mother. Of late, her dreams about a mysterious stranger enter her head. When she first took the job she promised not to be bitter or angry. She is a fighter born to win. Diego causes her dreams to sizzle. While sleeping she seems to draw upon comfort from him. When Joaquin enters her life, she seems to summon Diego more. Joaquin is out for blood and when he sneaks into her dreams, can Diego find a way to help save her?
Sweet Dreams is a fast-paced read loaded in lots of action and hot sensual dreams that burn the pages. The interaction of Veronica and Diego is intriguing. The fighting scenes with Joaquin and Veronica practically leave the reader in awe. Dakota Rebel allows the reader to feel Veronica’s loss for her mother. Veronica is sharp and determined, and Diego a warm, handsome soul willing to come to the aid of a pretty woman should she need his help. I love a good vampire story and this one is really spectacular.
