Romantic Comedy with erotic elements
Rating: 4 Cups
At forty-two, Ritzy Valentine is taking her first luxury cruise, accompanied by her good friend, Petunia. Unfortunately, there is a dark secret she must disclose that could sever their friendship.
Sweet Petunia Mason is forty-five and looking forward to the friendship cruise with Ritzy. She wishes Ritzy would toughen up her image. There is nothing that could ever come between them. Then again, bad karma seems to follow her everywhere.
Ritzy got a degree in psychology while Petunia worked as a retailer in an outlet after school selling shoes. Now in their forties, Ritzy holds to a secret she must tell Petunia. Often a bit cranky, Petunia lives for the moment. Ritzy knows Petunia holds bitter feelings for her mother, often taking any light situation and turning it into a comedy to cope with her feelings to get her through life. She hands Petunia an envelope conveying the secret, then runs into a man by the name of James Aniston, who apparently knows Petunia and wonders what it means. While Ritzy and Petunia enjoy the opened waters, they explore new opportunities that could either break them or make them stronger.
I absolutely adored Sweet Petunia. I could visualize almost every little thing with Petunia and Ritzy. The actions of Petunia, her outfits and horn-rimmed sunglasses were so descriptive the reader feels a part of the journey. The moment in the swimming pool with her blue-light special swimsuit was hilarious. The love shack thing had me in stitches. Ritzy and Petunia’s antics are sporty, fun and magnificent. Mia Romano creates two beautiful women that will make one laugh and just feel insanely happy. She spins an entertaining read most captivating in this madcap delight. I look forward to the next adventure.
