SWORD OF LONGING
Rating: 5 Cups
Lorna survived abuse and abandonment in her life, all the while knowing she was not exactly like other people. Now her dreams are showing a man whose image affects her life in ways she never thought of.
Riordan is a warrior for the Faery King who is fighting against an evil entity set on taking over the human world. The key may be a half-human half-fey woman. That she is the woman Riordan dreams of seems set by fate.
At first, Lorna and Riordan must work together to find a magical sword, but the more they are together the more they desire each other. Will the two brave but cautious lovers be able to face all that awaits them?
An outstanding sequel to Cup of Revelation, Song of Longing continues Ms Violet’s excellent Faery series. Lorna is a great heroine, who makes the best out of what life hands her. I enjoy her curious acceptance of her “other-worldly” experiences. Riordan is a wonderful hero, accepting of responsibilities and supremely sexy. Their interactions and strong feelings are communicated well, and build as their desires strengthen. The villains are logically rotten and deepen the suspense of the plot. The excellent magical aspects enhance the sexual aspect of the stories. The sex is perfect for the “faery” world and is unbelievably hot. If I were talking to a girl friend about Sylvia Violet’s Sword of Longing all I would have to say is “This book it rocks, I love it”. Congratulations to Ms Violet for this terrific book.
