Ulrika--Rik--Jaeger is a former assassin. Belonging to a special family of supernaturals, Itor took her special abilities and turned her into an actual shapeshifting wolf. Fitted with a collar so they can keep track of her and a bomb implanted in her, Rik is constantly on the move, attempting to feed the beast inside of her both physically and sexually.

Trance is equipped with a few gifts of his own. He is able to entrance and seduce simply by looking someone in the eyes. He works for ACRO--Agency for Covert Rare Operatives--and his next assignment is to capture Rik. Keeping her alive long enough to save her will be a challenge.

One way Rik is able to restrain her beast is to be the Dominant at a BDSM club in London. Trance is able to trace her to one club where he attempts to make her believe he can be the submissive to her Dominant. She takes Trance to new sexual levels which he would never have explored on his own. With a former ACRO agent-turned-Itor-operative on their tails, Rik is about to learn she is not the only dominant one in this relationship, and she may have to submit in order to survive.

Full of action and adventure, this book takes a long leisurely stroll through the world of BDSM. The characters’ gifts are each unique and special. This is the fourth book in a series. There are a few situations that are probably better described in previous books. I would highly recommend picking up the first three in the series before venturing into this one, but I do recommend reading this tale. Ms. Croft definitely grabbed this reader’s attention and was able to keep it throughout the entire story.
