Before she has a chance to talk to the fierce Scotsman, she finds herself spiraled into events she could not prevent. Can Elise keep from losing her heart to Colin before she has the chance to tell him the truth? And will Colin want her when he learns the truth? So when an opportunity happens, Colin goes with it and tied himself to the beautiful lady. But Elise has secrets, and the more Colin tries to get to know her, the more she holds herself back. What is Elise hiding, and can she ever learn to care for Colin? After an unfortunate accident that Colin takes advantage of, Elise finds herself married to him. But the McPherson’s have enemies, and traveling is dangerous as they make their way back to Colin’s home. The secrets and the past are brought out and distrust and hatred is tearing these two apart. Can Colin and Elise get past the secrets and the hurt to have a future, or is their relationship doomed by the past? Ms. Ivie has created a wonderful romantic tale with some fascinating characters and descriptive backgrounds. Taking an inventive plot with plenty of twists and turns she weaves with these characters adds intense dialogue with plenty of sexual tension. The end result is a fabulous romance which will truly entertain and delight you. I look forward to Ms. Ivie’s next book.
