Katherine Kale moves to Maple Creek to start a teaching job. She falls in love with an
old Victorian house and buys it. On day while she is digging up her flower garden, she
finds an old Cameo that had been smashed and damaged; but, little does she know that
this discover is about to change her life.
While Katherine is at the town Apple Fair, she meets Miss Valentine who used to live in
her new house. Before Katherine can ask her any questions about the house, Miss
Valentine is murdered with a poisoned apple. After this, Katherine starts to hear
strange noises in her house at night. Then the accidents start.
Garth McKay owns a business in Maple Creek. After these bazaar accidents start
happening, he finds and old diary in Katherine's attic. Garth wants to help Katherine
because he is falling in love with her. However, he has his own agenda. His sister was
the one who gave Miss Valentine the poisoned apple. So, he must make sure that she
is not accused of murder.
Ms Bodoin has once again ensnared her readers by giving them an old fashion who
done it kind of mystery romance. This story will keep your guessing and at the edge of
your seat and turning the pages. The twists and turns in this story are enthralling by all
the detailed writing; it makes you feel as if you are in Maple Creek. If you, like me, love
to read an old fashion who done it mystery romance then this book is for you. You will
not be disappointed.
