| THE WAY TO A RANCHER’S HEART CONNIE VINES ISBN# 0-7599-4087-8 December 2005 Hard Shell Word Factory www.hardshell.com E-Book $5.00 135 Pages Contemporary Romance Rating: Cheyenne has been attacked and left for dead in a ravine. When a local rancher finds her, he takes her home hoping that she will survive. She has no memory of who she is. Just a vague feeling that she is in danger. She is terrified that her attacker will find her and hurt the people at the ranch. After Brede’s terrible marriage and the death of his wife and infant son, he never wants to get seriously involved with a woman again, especially one who looks like she spends more time in spas than on a range. When Brede sees what he thinks is a lump of old clothes at the bottom of a ravine, he has no idea that what is really underneath all that mud is a beautiful woman - until he climbs down and rescues her. A woman with no memories and a man with too many of them find each other. Together they face their pasts. Cheyenne’s might just get them all killed. They must overcome much to be together. Ms Vines has written a suspenseful romantic tale. Cheyenne and Brede are very strong and likeable characters. Brede’s daughter Gretchen is very refreshing and adds a lot to the story. The ranch hands are very colorful and fun, especially Caldwell, the ornery cook. His elopement had me laughing out loud. This is a very entertaining story.
