Irene Lambros is a young Greek woman whose stunning looks and talents have brought her far on the Broadway stage. She is in Florida to help nurse her twin brother after an accident and meets up with fellow Greeks at a dinner party. She is not looking or interested in a rich patron coming on to her.

Leandros Melissinos is a rich Greek tycoon who can have whatever and whoever he wants. During an affair with his interior designer, he meets and is instantly physically attracted to Irene. Now he has set his sights on getting her into his life and his bed, but she is wary of his intentions.

At an exclusive Florida community where the rich and famous come to play, we find Leandros in an affair he wants out of once he meets Irene. Conveniently, it is her brother who helps him by taking up with his ex-lover so he can spend his time winning over Irene. Leandros soon learns that being a domineering alpha male is not an asset with modern women, and he must leave his Greek and macho attitude behind for Irene.

This is the fifth and last book in this series by Ms. Hofman, this is a good stand alone story. If you enjoy this, you will probably want to check out the series, this was my first taste and it has a very European vibe and flair and found it easy to follow along. I love the ensemble cast of likable characters and we get to see a bit of all the supporting cast, with a slice of life and death in this small, elite community. I will warn you that the ensemble will be presenting more of themselves to you as you read along so everyone can share the spotlight.
