Veil of Rel’ah has always had things handed to him on a silver platter. He sees no problem with paying others to do tasks for him, even things such as praying to his God. When his life starts to fall apart, he seeks the assistance of a high priest to find out just where he went wrong, and discovers much more than he bargained for.
Ash is a High Priest of Ernoc. He has motives that are not visible at first glance. In his opinion, Veil needs a lesson in humility. Ash is determined to help provide that lesson. He is not above seducing Veil into changing his life and habits.
In a world where some of the Gods have almost been forgotten, it is important for faith to be bolstered by those who still have it. Veil has lost his faith. His God Ernoc would like to see him regain it before Veil’s life becomes totally irredeemable. Can Ash help Veil see the error of his ways?
The Favor of a God is a totally unique tale that I found very refreshing. Mr. Carmichael and Mr. Black give readers a story of love and desire between two men that is exciting and interesting. I recommend this book to any reader who enjoys stories of two men in love.
