Chloe Vincent, owner of a French Quarter sex shop, and newspaper columnist, studies for her Master’s Degree in Pharmacology.
Mark Sloan, a man after Chloe’s heart.
Edward Sloan, a behavioral psychologist, intent on putting Chloe out of business.
Chloe’s sex shop is drastically going to the birds, thanks to her archenemy, Edward Sloan, who continues to nay-say her business. If she does not act fast, it may soon be in shambles. When Edward’s son, Mark enters her shop and purchases some green tea, she believes he is her ace in the hole. Mark has just left a bad relationship and does not wish to enter another one, until he meets Chloe. She is the ideal woman, a dream come true to fulfill all his fantasies. Still his last relationship leaves a sour taste in his mouth, yet the more he is around Chloe, the urge grows more intense. Chloe thinks Mark is one hot body of a man, despite being her enemy’s son. After agreeing to have lunch with him, she begins her game plan, but she never anticipated the hot feelings that would stir her flesh after being with Mark. As the two try to forget a troubled past, their instant charisma pulls them tightly together.
The Gypsy and the Jester is one enticing read. Chloe’s independent character is feisty and brazen and really gives the story life. Mark is more than just a handsome stud-muffin. He adds his own little pepper spice to make the relationship passionate. Ms. Moore generates fascinating characters, a wonderful ambience setting in New Orleans, and a wicked nemesis that keeps Chloe on her toes. With a bit of sexual seduction, this charming read is loaded in some heated seasonings that are sure to delight any reader.
