Jessica Wild is definitely not one for romance; she has tried that and knows it only leads to heartache. But when she stands to inherit a fortune from a woman she befriends while visiting her grandmother's nursing home, she must find a way to do just that, find romance in order to convince Anthony Milton to marry her or the fortune left to Mrs. Jessica Milton, not Jessica Wild, will be lost.
Anthony Milton is a very successful businessman. He has made his way to the top in advertising. He notices the changes in Jessica's appearance and her demeanor. He eventually proposes not knowing Jessica's plan, but he also has his own agenda as to why he wants to marry Jessica.
Jessica has her best friend teach her the ways of catching a man and while she is scheming to become the next Mrs. Milton, she fails to notice the clues around her that Anthony has his own plans. Not to mention the attraction she feels when Max her co-worker is around, but that is nothing…or is it? Her target is Anthony, right?
The Importance Of Being Married is a humorous story. It has wonderfully scripted characters that allow you to become involved in their antics. It also has romance thrown in as well. A surprise ending that will leave you with your mouth hanging open is the clincher. Ms. Townly has written a very entertaining piece of fiction that you will enjoy. I know this reader did.
