Cassie Stone is a large animal veterinarian specializing in horses and other big farm animal breeds. Living in Texas she has her share of dealing with cowboys as well. In fact being fed up with cowboys at the moment she heads to the big city to see her sister.

Blake Mareson is in New York City to do some modeling to pay for his horses and himself to live far away from the crowds. He is in town only for a photo shoot with his horses to pad his pockets then he is gone, hopefully to find a nice quiet place to live alone with room for the horses.

Cassie has just left her last cheating boyfriend and is now swearing off cowboys for good. In fact it is her resolution for the New Year, no more cowboys, period. So who does she find the first night in town with her sister in the Big Apple, a nice good looking guy that has eyes for her and finds out he has horses. Blake is so taken with Cassie that he finds that he needs to see her again and see if she will give him a chance especially since he is not just a cowboy but something even more.

This definitely has a bit of fun in it and it is a super fast read, in fact for me it was a one sit read and I enjoyed it. The only thing I did find a tad lacking is that since it is in the shape shifter genre it did not touch on that quite enough. It is a good story and a fun read but just do not expect a lot of paranormal or shape shifting activity, although I am sure you will enjoy it nonetheless especially if you love horses.
