Elizabeth Winters has been alone since her whole family was massacred. Each day is a day of survival for her. With no one to turn to, Elizabeth had to become a strong woman surviving on her instincts ingrained from birth. Always alone, the feeling of loneliness overwhelms her until the day she meets someone else of her kind.
Samuel Woods belongs to the Loup-garou. Also known as werewolves, he is a protector and the alpha of his pack. A feeling of being isolated and alone wraps around his senses, leaving him with the sensation of being an empty shell. The day he comes near the author, Elizabeth Winters, he hears her mind talk to him. The feeling of completion hits him as Samuel realizes that he has found his mate.
Elizabeth is willing to try the relationship but she does not want to lose her independence. Samuel just wants to protect and cherish her. As these two strong-willed werewolves struggle with their intense feeling, the war between their species and vampires intensifies. Toiling with her emotions and the deadly assault against her, Elizabeth may lose more than her independence. She might lose her life.
The Protector's Destiny is a novel filled with twists, turns, curves, and erotic scenes. Ms. Leigh took a typical werewolf story and put such a unique twist on it, making it her very own in a spectacular way. The way Elizabeth struggled with her independence and tried to accept help was so compelling and realistic. Samuel started off as the chest beating alpha male. As I got further into the story his characteristics changed, making him a mixture of alpha and beta, the perfect combination. Teaming the two main characters together was like putting a puzzle together, in the end a perfect match of yin and yang. An overload of sensual delight, this book will keep any reader toasty warm through long winter nights and asking the all important question, what happens next?
Caution: This title contains steamy sex, graphic language, blood and gore, and red-hot romance.
