Diana Metcalfe is struggling to realize her dream. She drives buses for children while others get the higher paying jobs. She takes it in stride, hoping that one day she can move out on her own and drive a taxi cab, but it sometimes seems like it well never happen. She has a long road ahead of her but with the support of her parents she is able to take things one day at a time. Romance is the last thing on her mind since most men will not accept her son, Freddy. She will not give him up so any man interested in her will have to accept both of them.

Sheikh Zahir al-Khatib is working on launching new business ventures in London. His main focus should be on doing that well and getting investors interested. Zahir knows he needs to get married so he seeks help from his mother. Arranged marriages happen all the time but he wonders if he should follow his heart for once. The beauty that is his chauffer takes his breath away. She is definitely not the docile type and that intrigues him even more.

Getting a VIP gig scares Diana. She has never had this much responsibility at Capitol Cars. The senior driver was out sick so the chance came to her. Being a single mom, she does not have the best support system in the world. Yet, her boss Sadie believes in her. Doing her best to remember the rules of being a driver, she finds she has difficulty following them. Before she knows it, she is fumbling for words around the Sheikh. Zahir is captivated by Diana’s spirit and beauty. He knows a marriage arrangements are underway for him at home, and wishes he could stop them. Believing he has found the woman he wants to spend of the rest of his life with, is not something he expected. Now he must figure out how to convince her of this without getting both of them into trouble.

Ms. Fielding shows a mother’s love for her son and her need to be somebody. Diana never dreamed of meeting a Sheikh or of finding herself falling in love with him. The desire to keep her distance is overcome by the reactions of her body when she is around him. Zahir cannot believe the confident woman that is Diana. Emotions run high and Zahir and Diana have to figure out what is more important to them, tradition or love? Ms. Fielding writes characters that matter. They were the reason I could not get away for very long from this book. This is one story that will not soon leave my mind.
