Not everyone knows that Alex McMullin is a specialized government operative.  Alex is
working undercover as a bartender trying to track down information about a new drug
that stimulates the libido.  This mission has a special meaning for his unit because one
of their operatives, and Alex's friend, had unknowingly ingested this drug and now is in
the hospital fighting for his life.  The police decide to send in a women cop under cover
to help with this case.  Except, Alex did not except it to be the only women he had ever
loved and later abandoned, that would be chosen for this assignment.

Rookie cop, Gillian Seymor, finally gets an opportunity to move up and acquire the
respect, being a woman police officer, the she deserves.  Her assignment is to go
undercover as a prostitute, and to get as much information as possible about the drug,
and discover who is running the prostitution ring.  As a result, she prepares herself to
go undercover, and to get started, she has to go to a bar and make contact.  However,
as she moves into position the last person she expected to see is Alex.  

Alex and Gillian have been ordered to work together and find the answers needed to
solve this case.  However, the working together, is the problem for Alex.  Jealousy is an
ugly thing, and being surrounded by sex, danger, and intrigue only induce Alex's alpha
male instincts to work over time.  As for Gillian, he has decided not to stop her from
gaining the respect that she deserves with this mission, no matter how intimidating or
sexy she is.  

Rebecca York is a very creative author and she has once again demonstrated this
creativity by writing a captivatingly delightful story.  The sensuality between Alex and
Gillian is strong and passionate.  This story is wonderfully written and enthralling until
the end.  If you, like me, love Rebecca York, then this is a great addition to your
collection.  You will not be disappointed.
