Marissa Van Dyke used to love Halloween but ever since her parents’ death she spends every Halloween in mourning. This year however, her friends are determined to get her to have some fun whether she wants to or not. So despite her better judgment she agrees to go to a Halloween party.

Neil Drigan is a werewolf and for the past month he has been dreaming about a woman. In the dream the woman is in danger and it is up to Neil to save her. More importantly, she is not afraid of him. These dreams have a special significance to him because he knows that the woman in the dreams is destined to be his mate.

The moment Neil sees Marissa he feels drawn to her. When Marissa sees the handsome man, with the beautiful eyes she feels an intense attraction as well but she is determined not to give in because she thinks she should not be hooking up with a guy on her day of mourning. What she does not realize is that she cannot fight her destiny.

I was drawn into the story from the very first page. The plot is fun and interesting. Neil is very sexy and Marissa felt very real to me. I sympathized with her and I was invested in her. Unholy Night by Candice Glimer is a hot and entertaining read.
