Kirsten Ulrick was reborn when she enlisted in the Network, a covert organisation whose unchallenged authority and highly skilled operatives destroy criminals not controlled by regular law enforcement authorities. She has been a victim in the past, most especially of Jameson, the head of the Network, culminating in her determination to detach herself from her emotions and complete her assignments without becoming involved with either her colleagues or the subjects of her assignments.

Since the day they met, Ash Barnett has been unable to put Kirsten out of his mind. Flirting with danger in a sexually charged ‘simulation’ of lovemaking on a Vegas assignment six years earlier caused him to step over the line. Ever since, he has fought to deny the attraction he feels. To do anything else would mean death for one of them, if not both.

Kirsten and Ash endeavour to carry out their first assignment together since Vegas, keeping Raven and Casey Harris safe from Jameson by deactivating him. They must also attempt to put aside the feelings developing between them. The Network will never condone a relationship between the two; others have died for disobeying direct company policy and pursuing unsanctioned liaisons. Kirsten has a valid reason for wanting to see Jameson dead, but can she put her desire for revenge aside and give all her focus to keeping the Harrises safe? Ash knows there are many things she does not choose to share with him from her past. How will she react when she finds out he has violated protocol and looked at private files that detail her life before the Network?

I have just found my new favorite suspense author! It is no wonder that Until Death Do Us Part took third place in the L-Edit Slip contest. This story ably demonstrates the professionalism Ms Wiesner brings to her writing. The entire book showcases her talent brilliantly, a seamless plot that held me in its grip, realistic scenarios and dialogue, and a skill with language that took me out of merely reading a book and transported me through the world she created. I read on, despite the need for sleep, spellbound from first page to last, gasping outrage even while accepting that there could be no other ‘ending’ than the one presented. I only hope the next book in this series of five will include an update on Kirsten and Ash as they come to terms with being torn between duty, loyalty to the Network and their love for each other.
