Dan Tucker is just your ordinary guy running some cows on his ranch and using his favorite dogs to herd them up. He never suspects that the mutant dog that killed his animals and attacked him was anything near human, much less a werewolf. Now he wonders about himself and his ‘dog’ bite.

Angela is the local waitress at the County Seat Cafe. She is always ready to take an order and dish it out. literally. Unexpectedly, she finds that quiet, shy Dan is now suddenly attracted to her. She has grown up around him, going to school and now he not only wants to take her out but so much more.

Dan keeps seeing the slaughter left behind in his head, the night that a killer dog ravaged his livestock in his barn. After being attacked, he kills it and chops off its head to take for in for examination later to authorities. Dan is scared when upon opening the container, he finds a human head. Badly shocked, he hurries to bury all the dead and get his own injuries taken care of. All he has left is the wolf fur made into a belt and he researches the werewolf legend fearing he is going to become one himself.

This is not your normal werewolf tale; in fact it grips you from the first and keeps you going. Killer dog or werewolf, whatever it is it you will not be disappointed. Without giving away the ending or the whole story I am going to say that you will enjoy this novel tale. If you like werewolves you will find that Ms. Cook has a very unusual approach here and you will get quite an insight into the inner workings of the wolf pack including being the alpha male as well.
