Lucien Stone, her mate, feels guilt for his part in the tragedy. The real question is, will Ulrich return from the bittersweet reunion with his beloved Camille?

This is very much an ensemble story, with previous characters returning. However, even if you have not read the previous stories, this will not detract from Ulrich and Camille’s poignant reunion. Some happier revelations will more than satisfy fans of the Wolf Tales series. I do know the steamy scenes fogged up my monitor. This story starts with a bang and ends with a long howl of satisfaction.

Midnight Man

Michael is a modern vampire; he uses the cyber world to find his soul mate. However, when Erin finds out he has fangs, she wants him gone. Can he get her to trust and love him before his time runs out? Michael feels that the way to this girl’s heart is through sizzling, steamy sex, which he is ready, willing, and able to provide. It is also the way to break his curse.

Ms Page pens a fun, fast paced sexy novel with a hero you would not mind finding floating around in cyber space. Her heroine is smart enough to doubt him, but also quick witted enough to grab him while the getting is good.

Night Pleasures

Alana MacArdry is running from a relationship gone bad. When you live in a land full of magic, that can mean a lot of things. And when your ex-boyfriend has been dabbling in necromancy on the sly, bad goes to worse quickly. Like any woman, she knows to go to a public place and safety, but she never thought it would land her in the lap of her sexy neighbor, literally.

Colin Sheridan is enjoying Samhain and taking advantage of all the celebrating to recharge his magic. As he watches the strip show, he notices a woman who looks a lot like his neighbor, that he thinks about more than he should. He will get his chance to be a lot closer to her before the night is over.

Alana’s ex-boyfriend Bryce stole her brooch from her; she got it back, but almost lost her life in the process. She flees to the Pleasure Quarter to hide in plain sight, and there meets fellow business owner Colin. Immediately, the sparks fly between them. This helps him to recharge his fire mage batteries to combat her ex-boyfriend’s attempts to steal her brooch for his nefarious purposes. What follows is an action packed, sex-studded race to stay one step ahead of Bryce’s monsters, as well as the sometimes malevolent spirits that come out on Samhain.

Ms Dante’s tale flows so well from one scene to the next that you find yourself out of breath just from reading it. It is almost as if you are running along with the characters from place to place, not to mention the frenetic, yet satisfying sexual pit stops to recharge Colin’s elemental batteries. All I can say is that Alana is a very lucky woman. I love the way Ms Dante blends the mystical with the erotic and the mundane with the magic. I hope to read much more from her very soon.

Each of these tales celebrates the season of Halloween or Samhain, where the veil between the reality and the supernatural becomes thin, with erotically charged results. Wild Nights delivers on the promise of its title, and then some. I highly recommend this anthology to anyone that likes wickedly hot sex, action, dominant males, and feisty heroines.
