Paranormal Witch Romance
Rating: 3 cups

Saylym Winslow thought by coming to the town of Sanctuary, that life would be so much easier. Someone told her a big lie because a town full of loonies surrounds her! They all think they are witches and when inanimate objects from her magic store come alive, Saylym thinks she is hallucinating. Maybe she is going “crazy” much like her mother, because she did tell her that her anonymous father was a witch.

This half human-witch enthralls Prince Talon. He is now in the middle of his Beltane, which to his species is their mating season. Of course he would love to mate with Saylym in the earthly sense, but not be with her forever. But things are about to become very complicated where Saylym is concerned.

As Saylym and Talon meet and find some common ground about their attraction to each other, there are other evil forces in Sanctuary that want to take over and rule forever. Saylym may also be the key to the curse her ancestors have undergone for hundreds of years and only with Talon by her side, can she possibly come out alive and control her powers.

Witch’s Brew is a wild reading experience. I was lost in the world of Sanctuary right from that start and what starts out as a bit of a comedic romance, grows darker and more sinister especially when some truly horrendous demons come along. There are so many interesting and well-written characters, but the two that sent chills down my spine were Black Drayke and MeLora Haven. They were so evil, that Tabitha Shay brought out such emotion over their sinister actions that I haven’t felt in a long time. Shay has written a truly inventive tale of magic and storytelling that I won’t soon forget.
