Eric Mason has been waiting for her, his whole life. He did not know who she was until Kate gets close enough for a connection. He cautions her about her friends' husband. He knows that Kate will be able to help free her friend from her evil husband, his cousin.

When Kate arrives at her friends, she finds out that Rosa is missing. Kate suspects the worst, she has never liked Rosa's husband Grant. She determined to stay and watch over her friends' son Tommy, until she can find some clues to find Rosa. When Eric shows up, she is conflicted with the feelings she feels for him, and the same feelings she feels for her telepathic lover.

Ms. Huxman has woven a tale of suspense intertwined with ghosts, dark shadows and a little boy's secret friend. The pages seem to turn themselves as the reader is glued to the story. Her characters are a delight, or a terror but the mix is just perfect. I enjoyed reading about Kate and Eric and the quest to unravel the mystery.
