AN UNKINDNESS OF RAVENS
Rating: 4 Cups
Renny Piccione, an archeologist, has disturbing erotic dreams that deprive her of much sleep. She seeks the advice of Dr. Greydon Corvo, a psychiatrist. But when she hears that the secret might lie with his pet bird, Jakob, she wonders if she has really lost her sanity.
Dr. Greydon Corvo is no ordinary psychiatrist; he studies dreams. He is aware that the meeting with Renny is foreseeable even before she arrives, certain that Renny is his future.
Renny searches for answers concerning her dreams; the ones that bring her to a heated sensation where only one man can cool the heated blaze. The ones where only "Raven" can curb the fiery passionate desire. She feels the doctor is her only hope. Dr. Greydon Corvo has waited a long time for Renny’s appearance. His bird, Jakob, has been with him throughout the ages and he knows it to be true. Greydon knows it is not just the sexual passion that draws her to him, but the fact she is his destiny. He assures her that she is not insane or losing her mind. He believes her dreams are more than just mere fantasies, and she is shocked to hear he has entered her dreams. Now the two must find a way to unlock the secrets of the dreams with the help of his fine-feathered companion, Jakob – the raven.
An Unkindness of Ravens is a story that immediately drew me into the ambience of the whole read. Renny and Greydon are refreshing characters that spin creativity into a tale that takes the reader on a magnificent journey. Ms. Kelly allows the reader to visualize the setting, even down to the holding of the little raven in Renny’s hand as she paints characters that touch with soothing emotions in this intriguing book.
