Kayla Hampton is blind, but she is a successful CPA who owns her own business and lives on her own. Kayla has tried hard to prove to her parents that she is capable of all this, and although they love her dearly, they do still try to pamper her. When Kayla's father asks her to look into a business deal that he has invested in, Kayla meets Logan Lambert, the owner of the business her father was investing in. She has no idea that this meeting would change her whole world.

Logan Lambert has just lost a building to a small earthquake. His building should have taken the earthquake no problem. That could only mean one thing; someone has been using cheaper materials. Now Logan is meeting with a CPA to prove it was not him, but also try and find the cause. Logan meets Kayla and is instantly attracted to her, and together they try to unravel the truth.

Kayla and Logan both work hard at trying to figure out who is sabotaging his company. As they work together, both Kayla and Logan are having strong feelings for the other. But it seems the closer they get to finding out who is the culprit, a string of dead bodies follow. Logan is scared for Kayla because it seems they are now targeting her, and the harder they try to work this out, the messier it is getting. But the killer is closer than either Logan or Kayla knows, and with time running out, can Logan find out who it is before he loses the most important thing; Kayla?

This is an exhilarating story that is chocked full of action, danger, and romance. Ms. Quinn had done an outstanding job creating her characters. Kayla is blind, but is filled with strength and determination that you cannot help but admire. From the first page you are held captive and not let go to the last. In this rousing tale, there is never a dull moment and adding the provocative love scenes as the icing and you have one extraordinary read.
