As hard as it is to see her mother’s grief, Samantha Sterling cannot tear her thoughts away from Sweet Dreams Chocolate Company. The business that has been in their family for generations is about to go bust, due in great part to her mother’s recently deceased second husband.

Banking in a small town is a double edged sword for Blake Preston, as he has no choice but to call due the loan to Sweet Dreams. He would love to see them turn the business around, yet his hands are tied when it comes to granting more extensions.

Everyone loved Waldo, a great guy whose business acumen, unfortunately, has left Samantha in a hole so deep she can see no daylight. It is down to the wire, when Samantha and her sisters brainstorm an idea to bring a chocolate festival to Icicle Falls. Blake has no illusions as to Samantha’s feelings for him, although that does not stop him from working behind the scenes to help. Samantha is fighting for every penny to save her family’s business, so the last thing she needs or wants is to have dreams of the sexy banker who, she is sure, is out to ruin her.

When it comes to women with attitudes, I feel like Samantha Sterling has more than her fair share. She is so angry, upset and downright unpleasant throughout this book it is hard to feel any sympathy for her troubles. In my opinion, there is no romance to this story at all, just a man who must be part saint, if he is willing to keep sticking his neck out. If you are looking for something sweet and charming, you may yet find it in Icicle Falls. I, however, have not found it with Samantha or her family.
