Chalian and Dane enter an allegiance based on a business deal brokered by her father and Dane. Chalian is distraught and angry with her father, while being very leery of Dane. Why does he insist on including her in his trade agreement? Dane, having lost all reason over this surprise at finding his mate, vows to give Chelian the respect she deserves, but has never been given.

Ms. Ciara Gold has written a delightful fantasy full of noble men, mythical beasts, and far flung planets. The world she describes immediately draws you into her imagination. Chalian, with her independent streak, and Dane with his commanding demeanor, clash at every turn, making for an explosive relationship that culminates in a sizzling melding of minds, hearts, and souls. I love the adventure, suspense, and romance within this book. It is definitely a keeper.
