Callie Sorenson has spent a lot of her life going from place to place. She leaves behind her mother and dead brother’s best friend, the one she has had feelings for since a young age. But all soon changes when she receives a phone call that her mother is in the hospital. So Callie makes a trip home however wary and scared she is.
After his best friend’s death and Callie’s leaving, Danny McCutcheon has continued on with his life. He opens the rafting business he and Elliot have dreamed of. He also has stayed very close to Liddy, Callie and Elliot's mother. When she falls and is hurt, he calls Callie.
It seems like life is nothing like Callie imagines. The feelings she has for Danny and the struggles she has with her mother seem to confuse her more than ever. If Danny's life is never easy, he has worked his way through it. On Callie’s return, his feelings for her grow, confusing him and complicating everything. The journey each must take could either open the options for a relationship or destroy a good friendship.
Coming Home is a great read filled with everyday struggles that we all might encounter –questioning what you truly want in your life and the reasons behind it. I find myself rooting for Danny and Callie in both their journeys and for a romance to blossom between them. But you will have to grab your own copy to see their outcome.
