Rachel and Thomas Dawson tried for years without success to have a child. Then they decided to try adoption. They had a lawyer, Baron Bell, handle everything; they got a surrogate and had twins. All was working well till the surrogated decided to demand more money. After losing the children, they decided to fight back.
Lizzie Fox is a high profile attorney that will get the outcome from a case that she wants. She takes on this case trying to right a wrong after finding many other victims in Baron Bell’s scheme. While he got rich, many children were sold to the highest bidder.
Lizzie, along with help from her pals, kicks into high gear to return the children to their rightful parents and make Baron and all involved pay the price. But things become complicated when the DC area is ravished by a snow storm that slows their progress.
Deadly Deals is the sixteenth volume in The Sisterhood Series and I recommend reading them in order. I have never read any of these Books, but with the bit of background given in the story, was able to read this book well enough. But, sometimes I was lost, even more reason to read the series in order. Overall, I loved the characters and the way the comical yet serious situation is handled. Ms. Michaels has written an entertaining read that I am sure you will enjoy.
