Madeline Theros reluctantly pursues a career as a ballet dancer because of her domineering mother. Her true passion is Spelunking, or cave exploring. When she spoke of her love of caves to fellow gym member, Corey, he immediately picks up on her enthusiasm and is instantly smitten.
Corey Grainge worked out at the gym frequently. He always noticed the young woman who followed the dictates of her mother. When he had worked up the nerve to speak to her, he quickly discovered there was a lot more to her than meets the eye. He loved to develop unused land for commercial use and was good at it. After having what turned out to be the one and only conversation with the spirited young lady, he could not wait to see her again.
It was five years later at a ballet performance before Madeline and Corey would see each other again. Madeline still had the fiery spirit and Corey still cared more for her then he cared to admit. After spending a magical night in a rooftop pool, they knew they shared something special. And again fate stepped in to separate them.
Ms. Shannon Greenland has written an exciting novel full of suspense and romance. Madeline doggedly pursues her passion while trying to forget the love of her life, while Corey throws himself into his work, haunted by the woman who disappeared. The story caught my attention immediately, demanding I finish it in one sitting. I love this book.
