Domino Trilogy, Book 1

Nancy Delaney wants to be a great reporter. What starts out as a favor for her roommate ends up being a scoop of a lifetime that the reporter in her cannot turn down.
Peter Rostovich is a man known as someone willing to do whatever it takes to get what he wants. When Nancy shows up to do a story about his art, Peter knows he is not going to let her walk away from him without getting a taste of her.
The realm of BDSM introduced through Peter's art leads Nancy down a spiraling path into a world full of desire, bondage and unexpected results. What starts out as a way for Nancy to get the scoop of her life, soon takes her from a steaming pot of passion to land her in a knotted mess that can destroy her very soul. Can Peter save Nancy from a man who will sell her body and soul to the highest bidder, if he gets the chance?
The intricacies of Peter's character are painted brilliantly by Ms. Hughes. His mysterious past and dominating ways make a reader stand up and take notice. However, I find that Nancy's innocence does not mesh well with how fast she falls into bed with Peter. I also find the way she pushes him away then pulls him in to be a deterrent in the plot. Some of the other storylines do not make a lot of sense to me, though I cannot explain them without giving away too much of the story. The ending is a cliffhanger of mega proportions that does have me wanting to read the next story. I can only hope the next book in the Domino trilogy will not leave me with mixed feelings about the story.
