Unable to express her feelings left her clutching her love for her employer close and unspoken. Her painful past leaves her vulnerable to abuse, and the perfect candidate for brainwashing.

Ida and Wyatt enter a years long game of cat and mouse, with Ida being activated and transformed with just a couple of words. Being transported to different planets makes locating her in her different personas almost impossible and, through it all, Wyatt never gives up on his secret love. Will they ever communicate their feelings for each other?

Ms. Parrish has written a complex, and at times, confusing story. The switch in personas will make the reader feel they have been brainwashed, but thankfully it all becomes clear in time. Ida’s feelings of worthlessness will tug at your heart strings, and Wyatt’s never ending quest to keep her safe will warm your heart. It may take a couple of chapters to warm to this story, but your diligence will be rewarded with a satisfying ending.
