Sienna McCade has been captured and is being sent to the planet Carnelia for trial. She has been accused of treason and murdering thirty High Council members. Now she is in cryogenic suspension aboard the ship Valkyrie and is being transported to face her accusers. Though death does not frighten her because of her beliefs, cryogenic stasis is still a scary situation, like being a suspended void.

Jordan Dane is a courier or collector who works for the Galactic Protectorate. His assignment is to transport convict Sienna McCade to the Protectorate prison ship called The Guardian. Looking upon the face of Sienna, Jordan discovers she is the most attractive convict he has ever transported. Soon he finds his ship attacked by space pirates. Of course, since he once was a pilot for the Planetary Defense Corps, he is prepared for anything.

While transporting Sienna they are attacked by a band of space pirates. Their ship is rendered helpless and must crash land for them to survive. Jordan is injured and Sienna takes care of him instead of running. Soon Jordan finds he believes she is innocent of her crimes. After spending time together, the two fall in love. She decides to return and expose the person who has framed her even at the risk of her own life. A misunderstanding causes Sienna to run from Jordan but soon they accomplish their mission and secure freedom for Sienna.

Ms. Colgan has written a story that you will find arousing and entertaining. Jordan and Sienna are intriguing characters that give us many memorable moments. I found this book to be a fast read and hope to read more by this author. Make sure to take the time to add this one to your list of books to buy.
