Candace is a struggling chocolatier and a werewolf. She is lonely and missing her late boyfriend and resents her friends when they try to fix her up with eligible men. Her business is her focus now.

Seth is on the run from the DEA. He is a retired hitman and on the trail to catch the man who tried to kill his sister. He is very attracted to Candace and does not mean to treat her so badly.

Candace and Seth’s relationship starts out badly and gets worse. He skips out on her and the check on their first date, and she finds herself at the end of his gun at their second meeting. Candace does her best to hide her wolf from him but the full moon will not be denied.

Background and details about the two main characters are a bit thin in this story, but the action packed plot and scorching love scenes more than make up for it. Candace and Seth are very appealing characters, and her insecurity about the non human half of herself make her even more endearing. Seth is pretty arrogant and treats Candace really badly, but I wanted to like him and he definitely comes through in the end. The author does a really great job with the love scenes and the action scenes will have you at the edge of your seat for most of the story. This is a good read.
