Roxanne Love is part Maenad and part Giant and one of the best Enforcers for Olympus Inc. She likes her job and its benefits, especially since it enables her to care for her beloved brother, Akakios. She knows better than to become involved with anyone in Management.
Mason Landry is the owner of a bar. He is a product of the foster care system and does not know who his parents are. He is large and enormously strong.
Roxanne has been assigned to bring the newly discovered son of Heracles to corporate headquarters on Olympus. She has a one night stand with a bartender, only to find out the next morning that Mason is her assignment. She is sorry to have to let him go, but she never involves herself with Management. Mason knows Roxanne is the one for him, but she is going to take some convincing.
I really loved this story and could not put it down for a minute. The characters are extremely well drawn and could walk right off the pages. Ms. Avet does a masterful job of humanizing and modernizing the characters of Greek Mythology. I enjoyed Roxanne and Mason’s interaction with the Gods and Goddesses. Charon was a particular favorite of mine. Hopefully this story will become the first of a new series; there are quite a few more characters that I want to see more of.
