Mia Savard is a great designer who loves fashion but if she has to make one more bridal dress she will scream. At thirty, her boyfriend just dumped her so she decides to swear off men.
Private Investigator Joseph Kerr is called in to find the culprit who stole the design. He loves surprising people, especially suspects.
Lucien Savard, creator of Savard Creations, believes someone wishes to ruin his business.
Mia is shocked when her father calls a meeting summoning everyone in the company to attend. The dress she designed for the governor’s daughter’s wedding has been pirated and shown to Heavenly Bridals. Lucien is certain there is a mole in Savard Creations. He fires everyone; even his family then hires a private investigator to uncover the spy. Mia knows every time her father squeals ‘you’re fired,’ it never means anything. The man needs anger management class. After Mia literally bumps into Joe through a revolving door, she learns he will be working to uncover the leak. She might have to rethink her situation about swearing off men. As they work together to find the thief, they feel a strong attraction toward the other, but Mia is not certain she is ready for another man in her life, then again it would be nice to finally have her own wedding gown to design.
Marriage by Design is the absolute best fun book. Mia and Joe are captivating characters and some of the things that Mia expresses in her head are hilarious. This is a top notch book that I cannot stop ranting and raving over with great in depth secondary characters. Ms. Michaels fashions great creativity, well developed characters, charm, wit, adventure and impeccable writing that spins one terrific read. This is one rare deserving story I highly recommend.
